About the NCJSC
The Consortium of North Carolina Jewish Studies Faculty connects Jewish Studies scholars from around the state. It was established in the course of a meeting of Jewish Studies faculty from universities and colleges in North Carolina that took place in Elon in 2011. The consortium facilitates communication about any issue pertaining to Jewish Studies, shares information on events on NC campuses, and other items of interest to NC Jewish Studies faculty. The consortium holds an annual gathering on the campus of one of its members. Faculty members who work in Jewish Studies in whatever department, program or center at a North Carolina institution of higher learning as well as advanced (graduate) students are encouraged to attend and participate.
