Center Denounces Hate and Nazi Speech Incident
The Center for Judaic, Holocaust and Peace Studies has taken immediate steps to denounce the new case of Nazi and hate speech on our campus. It has issued a statement for the campus and larger communities in condemnation of this hateful act. The statement begins to present steps that everyone can take to counter these direct attacks on members of our community and our common values. The Center works with student groups and campus institutions to continue its work against any form of Nazi, White Supremacist, racist and anti-Semitic activities. Last night, it co-organized a conversation with 96-year old Auschwitz-Birkenau survivor Dr. Susan Cernyak-Spatz. Many hundreds came. It will offer more programming and discussion fora in the coming weeks. To read the statement in full, click here.
