Description: A Child Survivor from Zagreb, Croatia, Speaks. In this joint Center-USHMM Survivor Affairs Division program, child survivor Theodora Klayman gives testimony about her and her family's struggles for survival in fascist Croatia, an ally of Nazi Germany whose forces occupied much of Yugoslavia in 1941. Both of her presents died in the Jasenovac camp, the most brutal camp complex run by fascist Croatia. Her testimony is followed by a Q-and-A with students from a Center-supported Appalachian State University Student Research Excursion. For a brief bio of the survivor, see ushmm.org/remember/holocaust-survivors/volunteers/theodora-klayman.
